You can add a dedicated Wikipedia search bar directly to your web browser using built-in site search keywords. This allows you to search the online encyclopedia directly from your address bar without navigating to the website first.
Follow these steps to configure Wikipedia search for major web browsers. Google Chrome
Click the three dots in the top-right corner and select Settings.
Click Search engine on the left menu, then select Manage search engines and site search.
Scroll down to the Site search section and click the Add button. Fill in the following fields: Search engine: Wikipedia Shortcut: wiki (or any short keyword you prefer)
URL with %s in place of query: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Search&search=%s
Click Add. Type wiki, press Space or Tab, and enter your query to search. Mozilla Firefox
Click the three horizontal lines in the top-right corner and select Settings. Select Search from the left panel. Scroll down to Search Shortcuts and click the Add button. Fill in the configuration details: Search engine name: Wikipedia

Click Add Engine. You can now search by typing wiki followed by your query in the address bar. Microsoft Edge
Navigate to Settings by clicking the three dots in the top-right corner. Select Privacy, search, and services from the sidebar.
Scroll to the very bottom and click on Address bar and search. Click Manage search engines, then click Add. Enter the following parameters: Search engine: Wikipedia Keyword: wiki

Save the settings. Use the shortcut by typing wiki in the address bar. Brave Browser Open Settings from the main menu. Select Search engine from the sidebar menu. Click Manage search engines and site search.
Ensure OpenSearch indexing is enabled under your search settings.
Under Site search, click Add and use the standard Wikipedia URL template: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Search&search=%s.
