Step-by-Step Guide: Customising Your Website Layout with Pixeloid
A unique website layout sets your brand apart and improves user experience. Pixeloid makes advanced layout customisation accessible without requiring deep coding knowledge. This guide walks you through tailoring your website layout step by step using Pixeloid’s design engine. Step 1: Initialize Your Layout Canvas Begin by setting up your foundational workspace. Open your Pixeloid dashboard. Click Create New Project or open an existing template. Navigate to the Layout Settings panel on the left sidebar.
Select your target Canvas Width (e.g., Full Width or Boxed).
Set your base Grid System by choosing the number of columns, typically 12 for standard layouts. Step 2: Structure Your Header and Navigation The header is the first element visitors see. Drag a Header Block onto the top of your canvas.
Choose a layout style: centered logo, left-aligned logo, or split navigation.
Click Sticky Position if you want the menu to follow users as they scroll.
Adjust padding inside the element card to create breathing room around your links. Step 3: Define Content Sections and Columns Divide your page into functional zones. Click the + Add Section button beneath your header.
Select a column structure (e.g., ⁄50 split, 33/33/33 split, or a dominant sidebar).
Use the Spacing Slider to define the margins between your sections.
Turn on Flexbox Alignment in the section property panel to align items vertically or horizontally automatically. Step 4: Add and Position UI Elements Populate your structured sections with content widgets. Open the Elements Library tab.
Drag and drop components like image galleries, text blocks, or buttons into your columns.
Use the Pixel-Perfect Alignment Guide (blue lines) to snap elements into place.
Set custom widths for individual elements by dragging their outer bounding borders. Step 5: Configure Responsive Layout Breakpoints
Ensure your design functions seamlessly across desktop, tablet, and mobile displays.
Click the Device Preview Icons at the top center of the screen. Select the Tablet View to inspect how columns stack.
Rearrange or hide non-essential elements for smaller screens using the Visibility Toggle.
Switch to Mobile View and adjust font scaling and button sizes specifically for touch navigation. Step 6: Finalize Spacing and Publish Polish your layout and launch it live.
Review your entire page using the Global Padding Tool to ensure consistent spacing.
Click Preview to test animations, hover effects, and layout shifts in real time.
Click Publish in the top right corner to deploy your custom layout. If you are ready to refine your design further, tell me:
